2016-2017

Well done to the rounders' team who won the silver medal in the Blackburn schools' competition. They batted and fielded fantastically winning all their matches to get through to the final. The final was against St Francis- it was a very close match but St Francis won by half a rounder.

We have had an amazing healthy week which has included: archery, smoothie maker, lacrosse, mini gym, fencing and sports day. Here are some photographs of the exciting activities we have taken part in.....

County Champions

Yesterday, the boys' cricket team were crowned county championships...AMAZING!

Mr Shuttleworth reported that because of their fantastic team work and great skill, they out played all the other teams.

Well done boys.

Well done to all our athletes who took part in the Witton Park athletics competition. A fantastic effort was given by all our pupils.

Well done to the girls' Year 5/6 cricket team who won the Blackburn with Darwen schools' cricket competition. It is the first time that we have won this trophy so this is an amazing achievement.

The schools' table cricket team won a silver medal when competing against lots of other Manchester schools. Excellent effort, you worked well as a team!
On Wednesday 14th June, our Year 6 boys' cricket team were champions when they competed at the Blackburn with Darwen cricket competition. We have retained the trophy from last year so well done boys. (pictures on Facebook)
On Wednesday 24th May, our Year 5 and 6 children competed in a hockey festival at Pleckgate.
On Wednesday 3rd May, our Year 5 mixed cricket team competed in a kwik cricket competition at Darwen Cricket Club. They bowled amazingly and worked fantastically as a team. We are pleased to announce that they received the silver medal position. Well done to everyone who took part and also to Mrs Darby who coached them.

Our Girls' Football Team

On Tuesday 28th February, the girls' football team went to St Bedes' School to compete in the BwD football competition.

It was a rainy and cold night but the girls fought well against the opposition and drew two matches.

Well done girls, we are proud of you.

A super effort was given by all children who took part in the indoor athletics event at Witton Park on Wednesday 25th January. They were a credit to the school and should feel very proud. Thank you to all the parents who came and supported us.

 

Well done to the tag-rugby team who competed at Blackburn Rugby Club on Tuesday 4th October. This is the first year we have competed in this event and the team were amazing, narrowly missing out on the semi-finals.

A VERY BIG WELL DONE TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS WHO COMPETED IN THE COUNTY FINALS KWIK CRICKET TOURNAMENT AT BLACKPOOL AND LIVERPOOL.

Girls' Football

On Tuesday 1st March, our girls took part in a football competition held at St Bedes' High School. Mrs Darby said, "Even though this was their first match, the girls played very well and enjoyed the night." Well done.

Year 4 Key Steps Gymnastic Competition

On Wednesday 10th February, four of our pupils took part in a gymnastic competition at St Bedes' High School. Well done to all who took part.

Year 3/4 Indoor Athletics

On Tuesday 2nd February, our Year 3/4 indoor athletics' team went to BCHS to compete against other Blackburn schools.

Indoor Athletics

On Wednesday 20th January, our year 5/6 indoor athletics team went to Pleckgate High School to compete against other schools in Blackburn. They all performed to the best of their ability and came a successful 4th.

Boccia

On Tuesday 1st December, our Boccia team took part in a competition at QEGS. They had a fantastic day and came 4th. This was an amazing result as it was their first competition.

WELL DONE ! Audley are very proud of you.

Dodgeball

On Tuesday 24th November 9 children from year 5 and year 6 participated in the Blackburn with Darwen Dodgeball competition. The children did very well and displayed good sportsmanship.

On Monday 5th October our girls' and boys' cross-country teams competed in a one mile run against many other schools in Blackburn with Darwen.  Even though for some it was their first time competing, they all completed the course and made us all proud.

A special mention goes to Isfaeel in Year 6, who came 37th out of over 100 children!

Audley Football Team- YR5 & 6 Boys. 2012, 2014- League Winners. The new 2014-2015 football team are becoming title contenders once again in the South League with strength in all areas, our boys are a pleasure to watch.

Girls and Boys Cricket sessions held every Friday- Audley Juniors have remained in the top  two schools within the Blackburn with Darwen 'Kwik Cricket' tournaments held annually. Since 1998 Audley Juniors Cricket team have had success with nine consecutive Town and District wins. 2011 witnessed its highest accolade with winning the County championship trophy then coming second in the region. The last three years has been a dry spell with coming runners up due to ever increasing quality sides from the town's Junior schools. 2015 we'll be focussing on our spinners!!! 

Cross Country Champions!

 

Our cross country team excelled themselves at the cross country meeting at St Mary's and St Joseph's. We had a 'first' in the boys' race and an amazing 'first', 'second' and 'third' in the girls' race! The children showed great determination and we are very proud of them! Well done team!!
