Good evening again!
We are a little late again but we'll try to be more timely tomorrow.
We've all had a very busy day and have uploaded even more photos for you to see. We expected everyone to be tired today but they seem to have got a second wind! They're as lively as ever!
Good evening everyone!
Sorry for the late update today but we've been so busy!!
Our first night here went very smoothly indeed! The children went to bed at 10pm and were all asleep by 11:30pm. We had an early morning wake up at 7am - most of us anyway - and we got ready for the day ahead.
It's been a gorgeous day here and we've been out and about all over the place. Brown Pike and Coniston both went ghyll scrambling this morning and got incredibly wet! As you will see from our photos, they were very brave! In the afternoon, Coniston were rock climbing and Brown Pike were sailing on the lake.
Swirl Howe spent the whole day down at the lake. They started the day off with kayaking and then windsurfing in the afternoon. They seem to enjoy being in the water all day - mostly!
Wetherlam had their journey day today so they left this morning (with lunches in rucksacks) to go rock climbing, then sailing and even fitted in a little walking too!
We are all pretty exhausted after our first full day here but we're still looking forward to tomorrow!
A big hello from us!!
We have had a fantastic first afternoon! Wetherlam and Swirl Howe went Ghyll Scrambling after lunch while Coniston and Brown Pike were kayaking on the lake. After an exhausting but amazing afternoon of activity, we showered and all gathered together for dinner. Tonight's menu consisted of pizza, wedges and salad with jam sponge cake and custard for dessert.
Once Brown Pike had cleaned the dining room ready for breakfast, we all joined in a game of 'cards' out on the lawn.
Once we have tired ourselves out, we will relax and play games or colour in the main hall before settling down for hot chocolate and biscuits in our pyjamas.
