AJS Loves to Read
“Literature is a curator of our imaginations, and schools are the caretakers of our young people’s education."
Bernardine Evaristo, author.
Reading is a priority at Audley Junior School.
All AJS pupils will be given the opportunity to be fluent, confident readers who develop a love of reading.
They will have access to a range of authors and texts and are given the opportunity to understand more about the rich diversity of the society we live in.

Celebrating Diversity in our School Library!
AJS is celebrating diversity in our school library using recommendations from Penguin's Lit in Colour booklist. The children love choosing books from this lovely display.

Drop Everything and Read
Every day, we drop everything and read for at least 15 minutes. We just love this daily story time where our teachers read our class novel to us! It usually takes place at the end of the day. Books are decided upon as a class but our teachers recommend their favourites too!
Raising money to replenish our class libraries!
At AJS, we love to dress up and raise money to buy new books for our class libraries! We choose new books by our favourite authors and we also like to 'branch out' and try different authors that we like the look of!
