Our Curriculum

Audley Junior School is a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence.

At Audley Junior School, we aim to provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that is meaningful, relevant and inclusive for all pupils. We are committed to ensuring that every child experiences a strong sense of belonging, enabling them to thrive both academically and personally. Through carefully planned learning opportunities, we develop resilient, confident and independent learners who are equipped to achieve their potential and make a positive contribution to their local community and the wider, diverse society of modern Britain. Our curriculum is underpinned by the teaching of essential knowledge, skills, concepts and values that prepare pupils for life beyond primary school.

Oracy lies at the heart of our curriculum, reflecting our belief that the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and communicate effectively is fundamental to success. Through purposeful talk, discussion and collaboration, pupils build confidence, deepen their learning and learn to engage thoughtfully with others.

At Audley Juniors, we nurture curiosity, encourage a positive mindset and recognise that mistakes are valuable opportunities for growth. Alongside our rich curriculum, children benefit from a wide range of enrichment experiences that broaden horizons, foster new interests and talents, strengthen character and provide opportunities for leadership, creativity and personal development. Through these experiences, we strive to ensure that every child belongs, thrives and achieves.

Our Activity Passport

The Activity Passport is a Government initiative that Audley Juniors are very keen to adopt as it ties in with our ethos of what a broad and balanced curriculum should be about. 

In short, it is a bucket list of suggested ideas and activities that children should experience each year they are in primary school.  We have adapted the passport for our children and we look forward to your anticipated support.
